Help Bring Back Pure Pwnage!
Pure Pwnage is my single favorite series of all time. For those of you who call yourself gamers, and have no idea what I am talking about, shame on you! Educate yourself over here.
Pure Pwnage started as a internet-distributed web series in 2004, and continued as a TV show in 2010 on Showcase. The show is a mockumentary which centers around the life of Jeremy (aka teh_pwnerer) and his friends as they experience life as gamers in the real world… okay that’s a bad description. In reality anything I say bastardizes it, so just trust me when I say it is an amazing series with a lot of talent and creativity behind it. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like Showcase is picking it up for another season, and the future of the web series is looking just as grim (see the interview with Jarett here and Joel here). However not all hope is lost, I saw a tweet from Joel (@joelgardiner) today:
I’m urging all my friends and family to support this cause, regardless of whether you are a gamer or not. There is a good chance that with enough voices we can bring this great show back for another go ’round.
